FELLOWSHIP GROUPS:
The Chaplaincy have a selection of Fellowship groups set up around the area.
These groups,which are led by Lay Readers or congregation members, may be of use to you if you like to be with other Christians to further explore your Faith, or you may be new to the area and wish to find out what our Churches have to offer or you may even wish to attend Church for the very first time but feel apprehensive about 'taking that first step'.
A brief description and contact details for more information/directions for each group is given below.
TUR (short for The Upper Room) South
Meets at the Social Centre in La Roda village, near Los Narejos/Los Alcazares on the 1st Tuesday of the month from 5 - 7 pm.
It is an 'Open Door' social gathering with lots of chat and exchange of ideas, closing with a short Christian service. Tel Irene 968546866.
The Upper Room North
Meets at T.J's Bar in Benimar Commercial Centre, near Rojales on the 2nd Monday of the month at 5pm.
An informal group that meets to discuss faith in God, to pray together and sing a few songs of praise. It is an opportunity to discuss our faith with other Christians and how it affects our lives. Roger on 965724598 or Bill on 965725742.
House Fellowship Group
Meets at the home of a congregation member in Callosa de Segura every Friday at 10.30am-12.30pm approx. Discuss fellowship and relevant topics over coffee followed by looking at a Bible reading and then a short prayer session. Tel Maureen/Tony on 634323515.
Monthly service of Holy Communion in Hondon de las Nieves.
Held at the Monte Alto Restaurant on the 2nd Monday of the month at 11.30am. (The restaurant is on the industrial Estate just outside the village and is well signposted from the roundabout on the Hondon/Aspe road) No service July/August.
The service is open to anyone in the area in need of Sacramental Worship in English and Baptised members of any denomination are welcome to receive the sacrament.

Mother's Union
The Torrevieja Branch of The Mother's Union meets monthly at the Round House, La Siesta Church (please refer to the Diary section for full details)
A warm welcome is offered to members from other branches and people from any Church who are interested in finding out about the work and witness of this group.
The meetings have a varied programme covering many topics from interesting speakers.
It's members are actively involved in the pastoral work of the Chaplaincy.

BEREAVEMENT GROUP
The Chaplaincy runs a Bereavement Group which provides an opportunity for those who have recently lost a loved one to meet with others in a relaxed and informal way. We find that even when there are helpful and supportive relatives and friends it can often help to share feelings with others who are themselves coping with grief. The group is organised by the Mothers Union and one of the clergy is usually in attendance.
The group meets at the Round House in the grounds of La Siesta Church (opposite the Aqua Park) on the 4th Tuesday of each month (except July, August and December) between 10.30 a.m. and 12.00 noon. We normally begin with a cup of tea or coffee and then chat together. We end with a "thought for the day" usually in the form of a helpful reading or article from a wide variety of sources, and a short prayer.
Anyone who thinks they might benefit by joining us is welcome simply to come along on their own or they can come with a friend. Those attending can continue to come along month by month for as long as they find it helpful but there is no obligation or commitment. People do not have to be Churchgoers. Members of any denomination or of none are welcome. There is a bus service from Torrevieja and there is good parking just across the road. We can sometimes arrange transport if required.

PRAYER GROUP
A group of people meet to prayer for people around the Chaplaincy and further afield.
It lasts about one hour and any one who is in need of prayer or request prayer for other people are welcome to join them.
