A funeral is used to mark the end of a person’s life here on earth. Family and friends come together to express grief, give thanks for the life lived and commend the person into God’s keeping. Everyone who desires it can have a Christian burial service (funeral) presided over by the Chaplain whether they attended church during their life or not.

If you are not a regular churchgoer or are uncertain about what to expect you can contact our Chaplain, Father Richard on 966840136 or 693932438 or e-mail frras@blackwater.org.au or frras@c-of-e-torrevieja.com. He will be delighted to come and see you and talk through with you about the person who has died and what will happen at their funeral. You can also visit www.churchofenglandfunerals.org.

For the expat community in Spain it is often the case that a loved one has either died in the UK or has had their funeral there. Often their friends and family in Spain want to celebrate their life but are unable to attend their funeral in the UK. On such an occasion we are able to offer a Memorial Service at one of our churches. Contact our Chaplain, Father Richard, if you would like to explore this in more detail on 966840136 or 693932438 or email: frras@c-of-e-torrevieja.com
