Father Richard A. Seabrook SSC, the Chaplain, writes:

I have great pleasure in welcoming you to the website of our Chaplaincy, a group of three churches serving the Costa Blanca, south of Alicante.

Please feel free to contact the Chaplaincy at any time.

The Chaplaincy of Ss Peter and Paul, Torrevieja is part of the Church of England Diocese in Europe and Archdeaconry of Gibraltar covering Spain, Portugal, Andorra, Morocco and Gibraltar. We are part of the Anglican Communion. We are the Church of England here in Spain!

As the Chaplain – the equivalent of a parish priest – I have the joy and privilege of leading and serving the Chaplaincy providing pastoral and sacramental care. In each of our churches the people of God play their part with certain ministries. Our prime task here is to worship God in the Anglican tradition. We pride ourselves on being active and involved in the wider community.

The Holy Eucharist is at the heart of the life of the Chaplaincy where we gather around the Altar of God. All of our churches offer a wide range of opportunities to journey and grow and deepen our faith through traditional Church of England worship including: weekly celebrations of the Holy Eucharist, Morning and Evening Prayer, Holy Hours in the presence of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament and other Liturgies of the Word, and the Chaplain´s study group. Besides Saturday evening and Sunday, we have celebrations of the Mass on the principal holy days of the Church’s year. We have a close working relationship with the Catholic Church and one of our congregations worship in a local Catholic church.

Los Balcones Church is closed for renovations.

Please see elsewhere on this site for the times and dates of our celebrations of the Eucharist which are either on a Sunday morning or Saturday evening.

Whether you are new to the Christian faith or whether you have been a Christian for many years we recognise that growing in faith is important and I welcome you here to join us on the journey of faith. This is a community where the faith of the Church is taught so that we can grow in discipleship. This is a Chaplaincy where you are invited to come and join us as we seek to grow in faith and love.

If you come along to a service or event in any of our churches please do introduce yourself and, where possible, join us for refreshments afterwards.

If there is a particular matter that I can help with whether that is Holy Baptism; a service of thanksgiving after marriage or the renewal of vows; a funeral; the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession); a matter for prayer or if you wish to speak to a Priest; a home or hospital visit; joining the Study Group or if you'd like to hear more about the Chaplaincy in general, or one of our churches in particular, please use the contact sheet on this website under "Contact Us" and someone will get back to you as soon as possible. Alternatively, if you wish to contact me directly please either telephone me on 966840136 or 693932438 or e-mail me: frras@c-of-e-torrevieja.com
