About the church:
We are delighted to be given the use of this Church by our Ecumenical Roman Catholic partners which helps to build up unity between our two denominations. Due to its large size, it is regularly used for additional Chaplaincy services and events. It is surrounded by wide open spaces with beautiful trees and there is ample parking available in the roads next to it.
About the people:
We are a congregation of mainly active retiree's from the UK who moved to Spain to enjoy a more relaxed way of life but we also have some members of other nationalities who prefer an Anglican type service in English. The size of the congregation can vary depending on the time of the year but is generally well attended.
Our aim is to be warm and welcoming to everyone who enters our doors, whether they are a regular member, visiting whilst on holiday or those who just want to 'test the waters' to see if going to Church is for them. We hope they find that it is. You would be very welcome to be part of our Church family regardless of whatever Church background you come from. Why not give us a try?
What we do:
The Chaplaincy is self financing so we also plan a calendar of social (fundraising) events through the year which may include such things as a quiz nights, BBQ, pool party, coffee mornings etc. This is not merely to help raise more money for the upkeep of the Chaplaincy, which is very important, but it also serves as an outreach to the wider community, to those who are always very happy to support the Church in their own way but prefer not to go to the services. Of course, we do pray that one day they will do both!
Our services:
Our service takes place each Sunday at 10.30 am.
Generally, a Holy Eucharist service is held on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month led by our Chaplain or one of our dedicated retired priests. On the 1st and 3rd Sunday we have a service of Morning Prayer led by one of our lay ministers. This may vary however due to the availability of priests or a 5th Sunday in the month.
Types of service may vary. To check on a particular Sunday please contact the Congregational Warden or consult the 'Current Week's Newsletter' under 'Notices'
To continue our Church fellowship after the service, many go for refreshments to a local bar just a few minute’s walk away.
Where we are:
To find us - approaching from the N332, take the slip road for San Miguel and the AP7. Just past the Torrevieja Hospital you will see the Church on the left at the second roundabout. If approaching from the AP7, take exit No 758 for Torrevieja South on the CV95. After approximately 1 Km turn right at the 3rd roundabout. The Church is on the left. The Church sits in grounds near a supermarket.
